iPad Features You Didn't Know!

alt

The iPad 2 came, and it was good.
Much before you go app-crazy and jailbreaking and all those cool words that us non-iOS population isn't going to ever to use, there's some barely obvious stuff you need to know about our favorite tablet.
There's a lot of cool stuff that you need to know about yours to maximize your tablet experience. And trust me, this is shortcuts you just won't figure out on your own.
Remote Access to your Mac's iTunes Library
You'll need something of the Mac family for this. Apart from syncing your library to your iPad, you can also use the Wi-Fi to play stuff from your current iTunes library - on your Mac.
Enable home sharing.
Now, click on the LIbrary tab on the iPod app, select iTunes Library.

Hold Home + Sleep button at same time. The screen will flash white, a shutter sound will play. Now open your Photos app on your iPad to confirm.
Scroll All the Way Up
It's stupid to find yourself scrolling manually(ugh!) all the way up to the top of a webpage after you're done reading a lengthy article. Tap on the top of screen (near the status bar), and watch the page do the scrolling up for you.
Text Search on a Webpage
On your default browser (Safari. Another ugh), there's a section called “On This Page” at the bottom of your search suggestions.
Click on any terms will search within your page, and give you a count of how many matches show up.
Podcasts do Double Time
Only for the iPod on your iPad (haha!), you can click 1x and 2x buttons to speed through audio playback.
Read Ebooks Quickly on your iPad
The fastest way of getting PDFs on your iPad is by syncing it to your Mac, dragging and dropping it into the iPad (on iTunes).
For ebooks you receive in the mail, clicking and holding on the PDF's icon will open it iniBooks.
Movies from the SD Card
Import movies files from the SD card to the iPad. Now watch them in the Photos application. You'll need two nested folders on the SD card labeled DCIM/100VIDEO. Put your videos into this folder, and ensure that the video files are iPad-compatible.
Multitasking Gestures for the iPad
Five fingers for swiping to reveal the multitask bar and navigating through open Apps, and five finger pinch to close Apps. You'll need XCode from the iTunes Store
