1. Nokia Lumia 920
Announced in September 2012, Nokia Lumia 920 is a 4G phone withWindows 8. It has a wireless Qi Inductive Charging facility. Nokia is promoting it
as their most innovative Lumia, and the features introduced in this phone give us every reason to believe them. The 8.7 megapixel PureView camera is accompanied by a 4.5-inch WXGA 4.5'' PureMotion HD+ display with a resolution of 1280×768.
2. HTC Windows Phone 8S
Though HTC already has a Windows phone – the HTC Windows Phone 8X - in the market, it aims to garner more buyers with the more economical
version of this phone. HTC Windows Phone 8S has S-LCD capacitive touch screen with 1 million colours. It incorporates a display with a resolution of 480x800 and a camera of 5 megapixels. The touch screen size is 4.0.
3. Huawei Ascend W1
Huawei had announced they would be launching their Windows phone in CES 2013. The phone comes with a IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, 16 million
colours. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and weighs around 130 g. the speed specifications of the phone include HSDPA with 21 Mbps and HSUPA with 5.76 Mbps.
4. Nokia Lumia 822
Nokia Lumia 822 is really catching up on Windows 8. The phone does not come with touch sensitive controls. It incorporates Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a
16GB internal memory with 1GB RAM. It has two cameras, an 8 MP primary camera and a 1.2 MP secondary camera. It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset and a Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor.
5. Samsung ATIV S
Announced in the August of 2012, Samsung ATIV S runs on a Qualcomm S4 series 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait CPU. The touch screen is protected by
Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and it has a Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 16M colours. It comes with the primary camera of 8 megapixels and the GPU is Adreno 225. It also features HSDPA with 42 Mbps speed and HSUPA with 5.76 Mbps speed. With such a wide array of Windows phones coming up this year, the Android and iOS phones sure have tough competition to face.
